The G7 countries, responsible for a significant portion of historical emissions and current greenhouse gas output, are falling short of their emission reduction targets for 2030. A recent analysis by Climate Analytics indicates that they are on track to achieve only half of the necessary reduction to meet the Paris Agreement's 1.5-degree Celsius warming limit.
