Countries to promise clean energy boost at COP28 to push out fossil fuels

Governments at the UN climate summit in Dubai are announcing plans to tackle rising emissions. Over 110 countries are expected to support a pledge to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030. Additionally, more than 20 nations have signed a declaration aiming to triple nuclear power capacity by 2050. Philanthropic institutions, including the Bezos Earth Fund and Bloomberg Philanthropies, will invest $450 million to help countries develop national plans to address methane emissions.
